The theme for this year’s Deaf Awareness Week is “Look At Me”.
This year the week aims to improve understanding of the different types of deafness by highlighting the different methods of communication used, such as sign language and lipreading.
The Deaf Awareness is supported by the UK Council on Deafness. Deaf Awareness Week usually involves a series of national and local events.
